Private experiences in Loire Valley, tailored to you

Our private tours of the Lorne Valley can be conducted as day trips from Paris or other nearby cities, while for those of you who wish to stay in the valley for an extended period your private guide can arrange trips to the various charming historic towns, medieval castles, fairytale chateaux, and wine estates that have contributed to the Loire valley being designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Known as the ‘Garden of France’ due to its plentiful vineyards and superb produce that grows along the banks of the river, we always encourage our guests to try a gastronomy experience when touring the valley, whether that be a wine tasting experience with a local producer, fine dining in one of the local towns like Sancerre or Nantes, or visiting a local market such as the daily one in Tours where your guide can introduce you to the finer points of this classically French pastime.

We have been guiding guests around the region for over twenty years, so continue reading to find out about our favorite spots to enjoy a private tour, or send us an online inquiry letting us know how long you will be in the region and we will send you a complimentary custom tour itinerary.

Locations to consider in Loire Valley

Why book your tour of the Loire valley with us?

The Loire Valley is best navigated by car, and unfortunately, that means a lot of guests find themselves reserving a place on a crowded bus or large group tour where they are shepherded from one place to another amongst strangers. At Luxury France Tours, we stake our reputation on only providing the finest tour experiences for our guests, and that is why we ONLY offer small private tour experiences.

We believe that for you to truly share the understanding, appreciation, and passion our fully qualified locally based English speaking guides have for the region, its history, its food, and culture, alongside its exquisite monuments requires a private tour experience where you have ample time and opportunity to discuss these facets in-depth with your guide rather than simply rushing from point A to point B to meet a schedule that was never developed with you in mind.

As part of putting our client’s experience at the heart of everything we do, we provide no-obligation complimentary unique tour itineraries to each of our clients that are tailored exactly to their tastes. Simply let us know how long you will be in the area, how long you would like the tour experience to last, and what type of locations and sites you would be interested in visiting and our tour advisors will create a custom itinerary for you filled with more of the things you love.

Much of the building has now been restored to its former glory and attracts visitors from all over the world to admire its beauty and historic power. The gardens and views offered by the chateau are worth the trip alone, but if you have time to visit the stained glass laden chapel of Saint-Hubert, you’ll also see the final resting place and the tomb of Leonardo da Vinci, who sadly passed while residing in the grounds on commission from King Francis.
