Transfer to Blois
Your day begins with a chauffeured ride from your hotel to the train station, where you’ll board a fast train to Blois. The journey is approximately one hour, and upon arrival, your chauffeur will meet you near the platform, ready to guide you through the stunning landscapes of the Loire.
The Castle of Chambord

Our tour’s first highlight in the Loire Valley is the magnificent Château de Chambord. Recognized as the most grandiose château in France, Chambord is a Renaissance architectural marvel and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The château’s massive structure spans about 52,500 square meters (564,000 square feet), making it one of the largest in the Loire Valley.
The castle is known for its formidable central keep and four massive towers, with the keep standing at a towering 56 meters (184 feet), dominating the landscape. Although Chambord houses over 400 rooms including grand halls, royal apartments, and chapels, not all are open to the public.
One of its most renowned architectural features is the double helix staircase, believed to be designed by Leonardo da Vinci. This engineering feat consists of two intertwined spiral staircases that lead to the top of the keep without ever intersecting.
The elaborate roofline is a spectacle of chimneys, turrets, and spires, reputedly featuring over 800 decorated chimneys. Surrounding the château are vast grounds with a 13,000-acre forest enclosed by a wall. Wander through the lush gardens, follow the scenic pathways, and relax by the reflective pool, embracing the tranquil beauty and architectural grandeur of Chambord.
Lunch in the Loire Valley
Following your tour of the chateaux, your chauffeur will take you to a wonderful restaurant for lunch – choose from one of the many Michelin-starred or recommended restaurants in the region ( there are over 25 within a 20-minute drive).
For those of you preferring something more informal we can take you to one of our favourite brasseries where you can enjoy traditional French fayre or arrange for a gourmet picnic in one of the amazing wine farms in the area.
Blois Chateau

Post-lunch, make your way to Blois Chateau, an architectural treasure built between the 13th and 17th centuries. This historic castle was once the residence of seven kings and ten queens of France. Its architecture is a tapestry of styles, each wing reflecting the distinct tastes and periods of the monarchs who commissioned them.
One of the chateau’s most breathtaking features is the octagonal exterior stone spiral staircase located in the Renaissance wing. This staircase is uniquely designed with two interlocking but independent spirals, allowing individuals to ascend and descend without encountering each other. It is believed that Leonardo da Vinci may have been involved in its design.
After exploring the richly decorated interior, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the castle’s expansive gardens. The gardens offer beautiful views of the Loire River and the lush surrounding countryside. With their vibrant greenery, perfectly manicured lawns, and inviting pathways, they provide an ideal setting for a relaxing walk.
Wine Estate Visit

Our day concludes at the award-winning Brédif wine estate, renowned for its exceptional vintages and commitment to viticultural excellence.
Established in 1893 by the Brédif family, the estate was revitalized in 1980 by Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, a fervent wine enthusiast who infused the operations with new vigor and a dedication to quality and tradition.
Upon your arrival at Brédif Wine Estate, you’ll be captivated by the expansive views of vineyards that stretch endlessly across the landscape. Take a moment to appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the scenic beauty that surrounds you.
The tour begins with a guided exploration of the vineyards, where either the knowledgeable staff or the winemaker will introduce you to the estate’s terroir and the various grape varietals cultivated there. You’ll gain insight into the intricate processes of viticulture that define the character of their wines.
Next, venture into the estate’s cellar, the heart of winemaking, where you’ll see the oak barrels and stainless steel tanks used for fermentation and aging. Learn about the entire winemaking process, from grape pressing to bottling, under the guidance of your expert host.
The visit culminates with a tasting session of Brédif’s finest wines. Delight in the distinct flavors and aromas of each selection, as you learn about their unique characteristics and possible food pairings. This immersive experience offers a perfect blend of education and indulgence, ideal for both novice enthusiasts and seasoned connoisseurs.
Return to Paris
At the end of the day we will take you to the station ready for the short train ride back to Paris, where your chauffeur will be waiting for you to take you back to your hotel.
